This Week's List:
August 13: Top Ten Books I Was Forced
(or encouraged) To Read:

1. Golden was chosen as our Book BFF book of the month one time and even though I didn't want to read it at first, I ended up loving it!
2. Angela told me to read Shark Bait and I'm so glad I listened to her!
3. My big in the sorority gave me the first Sookie Stackhouse book and got me hooked on that series and tv show.
4. Melina raved about Monument 14 so I decided to read it because I had book 2 already that I'd won from a giveaway.

This Week's List:
August 13: Top Ten Best/Worst series enders

My favorite series enders were ones that wrapped up everything nicely and gave me all the answers I wanted.  Even if a character I loved died I was still content with the ending.

My least favorite series endings were the ones that didn't answer any of my questions or just seemed like a filler book (Sookie Stackhouse #13).  I just remember being very disappointed with those five.  I still enjoyed them, but I was left wanting more.

What are your picks?

This Week's List:
August 13: Top Ten Books set in X setting

I chose:

VA / HH / HP / EG / HB / LFA / AATFK / DC / W / H
Seriously.  Who doesn't love a good boarding school book?  The top row are paranormal, magical, sci fi schools.  The world building in those books are phenomenal.  I wish I could go live at Hogwarts or learn how to fight with Alex or do magic at Hex Hall.

The bottom row books are more realistic settings.  Anna and the French Kiss gets bonus points because it's in another country which makes it even better.  I really want to read Winger.  I hear it's reallllly good.  And I just got Haven from a discount book store so I'll be reading that one soon.

What are your favorite boarding school books?

This Week's List:
August 6: Top Ten Books You Wish Had a Sequel

It was hard to come up with ten because I never realized it before, but apparently I only read series.  Here are the few stand alones I have read that I wished hadn't ended so quickly.

Wait For You / Anna and the French Kiss / Pushing the Limits / Losing It / Cursed

I ran out of stand alones so I picked books that have companion novels.  I wanted more stories featuring Cam, Entienne, Noah, and Garrick not some other random characters.  I always prefer a sequel to a companion novel so these 4 books disappointed me in that respect.

What are your picks?

Top Ten Books At The Top of My Summer TBR

Hosted by: Jamie from Broke and the Bookish

This Week's List:
June 11: Top Ten Books At The Top of My Summer TBR

I bought Walking Disaster awhile ago and just haven't gotten to it, but I'm ready for round two of Travis' craziness.  The Boyfriend App looks fun and Hazards just sounds awesome.

I've wanted to read Unbreakable ever since I finished book one, but just haven't gotten to it.  My cousin raves about Across the Universe so I need to read it asap.  I also want to know what's going to happen to America and Maxon so The Elite is a must.

I think Reboot is on the tippy top of my tbr.  If it doesn't get picked for July's read in my book club I'll be reading it first.  Everyone says I need to read Hopeless and Arclight so those are on the top too.

What's at the top of your TBR?

Top Ten Beach Reads

Hosted by: Jamie from Broke and the Bookish

This Week's List:
June 11: Top Ten Beach Reads

All of these books were light and fun and perfect for a lazy day at the beach.  Losing it and How Zoe MHDMCT made me laugh a few times.  Cam in Wait For You is so swoon worthy it's ridiculous.  Jase in My Life Next Door is adorable.  And The Art of Wishing is really unique and cute.

I'm beyond excited the new Sarah Dessen book is finally out.  Her books always make me wish it was summer.  Simone Elkeles never fails to provide a perfect romantic story.  I hear Hazards of SD is really hot and just looking at that cover makes me think it's about summer too.  And road trip books are always perfect for the beach.

What will you be reading this summer?

This Week's List:
May 21: Top Ten Favorite Covers of Books I've Read

As you can see I'm more partial to blues for some reason.  I like cooler colors and girls in pretty dresses.  I had done a TTT on my favorite underwater covers recently.  I also did a post of YA Rainbow Covers of 2013 if you want to check those out.  Some of the above I loved the covers, but didn't really like the book.

Are you sad Bout of Books is over?  Check out the Summer Solstice 24 hr Readathon I'm co-hosting on June 21st!

April 23: Top Ten Books I Thought I'd Like MORE/LESS Than I Did
(24)

I went into all the top five with way too high expectations that they were a let down for me.  The Art of Wishing and Splintered I had been waiting for them to come out for like a year.  And I loved both their covers.  My Life Next Door and SLN were raved about so much, but kind of fell short for me.  And the Maze Runner was just boring and slow paced and I was expecting this action packed journey.

The bottom five I thought they'd be okay, but ended up LOVING them.  Unraveling and VA I got out of the library randomly because I saw them on the shelf.  Shadow and Bone's cover turned me off, but it was easily one of the best books I've read this year.  Sweet Evil I just got because I need a book for a long car ride.  And I didn't like The Iron Fey so I was surprised when I was in love with The Immortal Rules.

Do you agree or disagree with any of these?

April 16:
Top Ten Favorite Covers
(23)

This week we got to pick an old topic we missed so I of course picked Favorite Covers.  As I started picking out my favorites, I realized most of my picks were underwater!  So I'm doing a favorite underwater covers this week instead.  I think I like them because they are weightless and flowing.  And I love shades of blue and green!

What topic did you choose this week?

April 9: Top Ten Favorite Books I Read Before I Was A Blogger
(23)
1. I would reread all the Sarah Dessen books because I loved YA Contemporary, but I just didn't know how to find other books like hers.  This was before I was a member on goodreads.

2. Harry Potter as and still is my favorite series ever!  But I first read them way before I had a blog...or wireless internet for that matter.

3. I was a big fan of Twilight and reread this series a bunch of times as well.

4. My friend got me hooked on this series (same friend that got me hooked on Twilight).

5. My sister gave me this series and I devoured it and reread it like 100 times.  No one understood me in my awkward teen years like Jessica Darling!

April 2:
Top Ten Characters I Would Crush On If I Were Also A Fictional Character
(22)

I've always been hard core crushing on Noah from Pushing the Limits ever since I read it.  He's so sweet to his little brothers and he really cares about Echo.

If you're surprised Daemon Black from Obsidian made this list then you obviously haven't met me before.  He's is my number one book boyfriend!

I've only read up to book two in the series, but for once I'm not in love with the main character.  I'm in love with the sidekick/best friend Simon from City of Bones!  He's so adorable and so loyal!

Kaiden from Sweet Evil is irresistible.  He's dangerous and seductive and so freaking attractive.

Tucker from Unearthly makes me sigh.  He's the perfect southern boy I've always dreamed of.  He's someone you can take home to your family and spend the rest of your life with.
