Title: One Moment
By: Kristina McBride
Publication Date: June 26, 2012
(the day after my birthday!)
Why I'm excited:  The synopsis reminds me of The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer.
I love going on an adventure to figure out a mystery.

From Goodreads:
This was supposed to be the best summer of Maggie’s life. Now it's the one she'd do anything to forget.

"The emptiness was a hole that only he could fill. He was the relief. It pulled from every direction, this yearning for him. All he needed to do was speak the words, “Kiss me,” and I would obey.”

Review: Delirium by Lauren Oliver

Goodreads Review:
Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing. They didn’t understand that once love -- the deliria -- blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the government demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Holoway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy.

But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: She falls in love.

My Review:

þ Mysterious, charming, adorable boy
þ   Forbidden love
þ Dystopian world
þ Cliffhanger ending

Lauren Oliver is really smart to have taken something so important in today's world, like love, and make it illegal in a future world.  It's kind of like Brave New World in the sense that love is not desirable and people are sort of like robots, without emotion.  Read the rest of my review here
