Top Ten Books I'd Recommend As Good Beach Reads
I'm only going to do five since some of them are series.

Beach Blondes: June Dreams, July's Promise, August Magic (Summer)Tan Lines: Sand, Surf, and Secrets; Rays, Romance, and Rivalry; Beaches, Boys, and Betrayal (Summer)
1. Beach Blondes/ Tan Lines by

 

The covers don't do this series justice.  It is such a great beach read since that's where it takes place.  It's got hot boys, strong friendships, romance, deceit, and some big surprises.
Summer Boys (Summer Boys, #1)

2. Summer Boys Series by 

I read this one a few years ago, but I remember it being such a great summer read.  Really all of Hailey Abbott's books are great summer reads. 
The Last Summer (of You and Me)



3. The Last Summer of You & Me by 

This one is more New Adult if I remember correctly.  It's great because it's about two old friends who see each other after a long time has gone by and fall for each other.

4. The Last Song by  


This is one of my favorite Nicholas Sparks books ever.  It takes place right on the beach and is such a touching romance story.  It's also a great father daughter story so make sure you pack some tissues in your beach bag.


The Truth About Forever


5. The Truth About Forever by   


I love Wes.  I swoon every time I read this.  But really all the characters are so dynamic and great.  This is about a girl finding out who she is and who she wants to be.  It's a defining summer in her life where everything changes.

  2. I love Sarah Dessen books for summer reading and really should have put one on my list. I still need to read The Last Song. I loved the movie.

    1. I liked the movie better which almost never happens, but I think it's because Liam Hemsworth is in it so...ya haha. But the book was good don't get me wrong lol. And Sarah Dessen is awesome.

  3. I've always wondered about Applegate's series! I was skittish because of the covers so I never picked them up. Maybe it's time to do that!

    I love the rest of your list though!

    1. Ya I really don't understand the first cover at all since there are only like 3 girls that are friends and two guys. So I'm not sure why there are 6 girls on the front taking a picture. lol. I reread it every summer so you should def try it.

  12. Sarah Dessen is the best!!!!!! I really want to read more of her work in the future and The Last Song is really good too!!!! Great list :-)

  13. The only Nicholas Sparks book I've read is The Notebook, but I could definitely see how his books would be great beach reads!

  17. Awww, I LOVE The Truth About Forever. Tied for my favorite Dessen book with This Lullaby. But I was afraid I'd ugly-cry if I brought it to the beach. TTAF does that to me when I reread it every now and then
