An ambitious intern. A perfectionist executive. And a whole lot of name calling. Discover the story that garnered more than two million reads online.
Whip-smart, hardworking, and on her way to an MBA, Chloe Mills has only one problem: her boss, Bennett Ryan. He’s exacting, blunt, inconsiderate—and completely irresistible. A Beautiful Bastard.
Bennett has returned to Chicago from France to take a vital role in his family’s massive media business. He never expected that the assistant who’d been helping him from abroad was the gorgeous, innocently provocative—completely infuriating—creature he now has to see every day. Despite the rumors, he’s never been one for a workplace hookup. But Chloe’s so tempting he’s willing to bend the rules—or outright smash them—if it means he can have her. All over the office.
As their appetites for one another increase to a breaking point, Bennett and Chloe must decide exactly what they’re willing to lose in order to win each other. Originally only available online as The Office by tby789—and garnering over two million reads on fan fiction sites—Beautiful Bastard has been extensively updated for re-release.

I've been using a new way of reviewing that I saw over at Making the Grade. It breaks the book down and makes it easier to rate. The way it works is each category gets a score out of ten points. Then you add them all up + 50 (50% automatically for each book) and that's your score out of 100.
610: The main reason I fangirl over the Lux series so much is because I LOVE the animosity/passion between the two main characters. Now take that concept and apply it to adult fiction with exxxtra steamy scenes and you've got a book that'll keep my attention.
While I enjoyed these intense hot moments, I was a little disappointed that the entire book revolved around the relationship. Nothing else happens for the characters besides their conflict of if they should date, continue hooking up, or stop all together. I just wanted more. And I wondered why it took them nine months to jump each other in the first place.
Although I liked 50 Shades & Twilight, I was a little nervous to read this because I heard it was fan fic. It wasn't overwhemling similar to either of those which made me happy. I might not have even known it was fan fiction if I hadn't read that somewhere.

6/10: Bennet really was one Beautiful Bastard. He's tall, handsome, got constant sex hair, wears expensive suits, you get the idea. His attitude is really annoying in the beginning and I don't blame Chloe for being rude right back. I was glad we got to see both POV's so we could understand why he was so guarded against her. Chloe's character made me happy because she always had a snarky comeback and most of the time she had a strong backbone. She was very impulsive when it came to Bennet though and often regretted her decisions later, but we've all been there at some point. I was glad that she didn't let him get away with any BS and she didn't make her life revolve around him. I wish there had been some other characters, but pretty much the whole book is just these too.
7/10: We get a good view of Chicago...well all the bathrooms, dressing rooms, boardrooms, etc. I liked that the story had scenes in different places and wasn't confined just to the office that they work in. I especially loved the chapters when they go to a conference in another city and stay at a hotel.
8/10: Because there was so many sexytime scenes it made for a very fast paced book. I think I finished this in a day or two.
8/10: You'd never know it, but there are two authors for this book! Their writing blended so beautifully I really couldn't tell. I loved the sarcastic tone and humor. It kept the book light and fun in between all the hotness.
If you enjoy romance and are looking for one that's highly passionate and entertaining you should pick up this book. This is my new favorite in the romance genre.
“The look in her eyes told me that under any other circumstances, I would either already be naked with her on top of me, or lying in a pool of my own blood on the rug.”

“Chloe, are you in the bathroom f*cking that nice slice of man cake?”
